Travel Notes

In some countries the language & the alphabet are strange, and part of the enjoyment comes from trying to make yourself understood (and to understand) someone who doesn't speak your language (in my case English).

Some countries, like the US, Australia and New Zealand, speak the same language (well, most of the time), and the pleasure comes from the feeling that you are almost in your own country; you almost understand the rules, but things feel somehow slightly skewed, slightly shifted from the norm.

The pages below will contain my thoughts and impressions of the places that I have visited over the last 10 years. Any sites, things to do, bars, cafes or restaurants that I have particularly enjoyed will be listed.
